Your HOLY calling

 

2 Timothy 1:9

King James Version

9 Who hath saved us, 

and called us with an holy calling, 

not according to our works, 

but according to his own purpose and grace, 

which was given us in Christ Jesus 

before the world began,

Do you know that you have a "holy calling"?

Do you know that GOD predestined us for Himself?

If you are grieved by your sins, if you are repentant, then you know you are called.

GOD would not want you to perish.

As He doesn't want anyone to perish.

2 Peter 3:9

King James Version

9 The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, 

as some men count slackness; 

but is longsuffering to us-ward, 

not willing that any should perish, 

but that all should come to repentance.

But how many listen?

Matthew 22:14

King James Version

14 For many are called, 

but few are chosen.

How to know if you are called?

John 10:27

King James Version

27 My sheep hear my voice, 

and I know them, 

and they follow me:

How many heed GOD's call?

Matthew 13:58

King James Version

58 And he did not many mighty works there 

because of their unbelief.

Know now, then, the POWER of this main verse:

Sifting through it, we find:

GOD "saved us".

GOD "called us with an holy calling".

GOD saved us, "not according to our works".

GOD saved us "according to his own purpose and grace".

This purpose "was given us in Christ Jesus".

This purpose was given us "before the world began".

Now, you see how you are loved.

Would you heed GOD's call?

Would you try to find out what He meant for you to do?

I hope you do, for we have much to do for GOD.

And others.

Only through JESUS can we know what we need to know.
